New workshop

So here are the first shots from inside my new workshop. I spent most of the day moving my gear from my house just across the road into the warehouse building that contains this lovely big room. Not measured it yet but it must be a bit more than 20 x 20 feet across with a huge high ceiling and too be honest its all a bit overwhelming right now. So much room and so many ideas, obviously I need to come up with some sort of shelving systems for all stages of production including finished work as well as what to do with all my buckets of slips, glazes and raw materials not forgetting the tools which need to be at hand. I will also need to get my kilns in there and wired up, still firing for now at home to finish off the last pots made here. As with any making process in any circumstance you develop systems that work for you so everything is to hand and it all has a place. So this has thrown me completely especially considering that I have worked from an 8 x 8 shed for years now but I know that I will put the hours in and clarity will prevail in the end. If I do know one thing it's how too graft and graft I will! But for tonight I must study as I have two exams at work tomorrow to gain the pesticide spraying certificates I need to do what I do for them.
Thank you Mark and Russ I'm looking forward to seeing how this unfolds and being able to invite people in to see what I do and how I do it. Without you two this would not have been possible for a good few more years.
